Booked, Busy, and Binge-Watching: A Media Girl Summer

You guys know me—I am a media consumer. I love my shows, my music, and my movies. I swear, if you looked inside me, you’d see 9-1-1, Malcolm Todd, Role Model, 13 Going on 30, and every 2000s show you could think of. I am media, and media is me. I rewatch the same shows and movies and listen to the same music. What can I say? I know what I like.

That being said, this summer is the summer for us media consumers and fangirls at heart. We have The Summer I Turned Pretty, We Were Liars, The Buccaneers, Sabrina’s new song coming out, Lollapalooza, The Materialists… I just love love summer, and love it even more when new stuff comes out.

I already know I’ll be staying up late, not able to put my phone down after I watch episode after episode. It’s a ritual at this point, guys.

The Summer I Turned Pretty trailer comes out in a week, and I could not be more excited. I have grown with this show, and it has grown with me. What do you mean I’m 20 and I was 17 when I started watching? Heart shattered. It’s a Conrad and Belly summer—that’s all I know.

Also, Pedro Pascal, Dakota Johnson, and Chris Evans? That is truly my dream rotation in one. It’s a hot people summer, guys.

This summer is for us media consumers, and I could not be more ready. I want that Guy and Nan romance on my screen and Sabrina’s new song coursing through my brain. Barry, you didn’t embarrass my girl even if you tried—but you did her dirtyyy.

Here’s my media girl summer bucket list:

  • Rewatch TSITP
  • Rewatch One Tree Hill (because it’s a must)
  • Make a summer playlist
  • Re-read We Were Liars

I have all the dates in my mind for all my dear shows that are coming out and my most anticipated movies. I’m obsessed with Adults right now, and I need the shows to keep coming. Booked and busy, indeed.

Until then, catch me in my bed being my emotionally driven self over fictional characters and living for all these trailer drops.
